SummaryEdit

Father's Day is here, and Luna is unsure of what to get Lynn Sr., but when she finds out that her friend Beck has somehow gotten ahold of a Musicman Stingray Bass that Lynn Sr. once owned, Luna feels she has the perfect idea.

StoryEdit

One day at the Hardy/Loud residence, the Loud sisters were talking.

"Does everyone know what they're getting Dad for Father's day", Lori asked.

"I do", Lynn said, "a Los Angeles Rams wallet."

"Excellent", Lori said, "Lucy?"

"A homemade #1 Dad coffee mug", Lucy said.

"Perfect", Lori said, "Luna?"

"I don't really know", Luna said, "I can't really think of anything right off the bat."

"Well, Father's Day isn't until tomorrow", Lori said, "but I suggest that you come up with something fast."

"Okay", Luna said.

Luna went outside and paced in the driveway, when Fred walked over.

"Hey, Luna", Fred said, "what's going on?"

"Nothing", Luna said, "just thinking about what to get my Dad for Father's Day."

"Why don't you ask Frank and Joey for advice", Fred said.

"I would, but they're visiting their Dad in New York", Luna said.

"Well, I don't really know your father that well", Fred said, "I've only spoken to him briefly."

"Oh", Luna said, "thanks anyways."

Later that night, Lynn Sr. was eating with the girls.

"Hey, Dad", Luna said, "I have a question."

"What is it", Lynn Sr. asked.

"What kind of activities did you do as a kid?"

"I was in a band", Lynn Sr. asked.

"You were", Luna asked.

"Yep", Lynn Sr. said, "Thimbles & Half Dollars, I played a bass, used a MusicMan Stingray I bought from Sweetwater Sounds."

"Nice", Luna said, "what became of it?"

"I had to hock it for college money", Lynn Sr. said, "after that, the band broke up."

"Where is it now", Luna asked.

"Who knows", Lynn Sr. said.

After dinner, Luna went up to her and Leni's bedroom and lied down on her bed.

"Now I know what to get him", Luna said, "but what does it look like."

The next day, the Loud sisters walked over to Lynn Sr.'s house and knocked on the door.

"What is it", Lynn Sr. asked.

"Happy Father's Day", the Loud sisters said.

"You remembered", Lynn Sr. said.

"And we've got something very special for you", Lori said.

"We're taking you to that new breakfast place across town for breakfast", Leni said, "our treat."

"Thank you, girls", Lynn Sr. said, "I'll drive us there."

Soon, Lynn Sr. was driving the girls in his Dodge A100.

"I never thought I'd sit in these seats again", Luan said.

"I think the same can be said for all of us", Lynn said.

At the breakfast place, Luna sat next to Lynn Sr.

"Hey, Dad", Luna said, "can I see a picture of the band?"

"Sure", Lynn Sr. said, "in fact, I have one on me right now."

He then took out his wallet and pulled out a picture of him and the band."

"That's me in the center", Lynn Sr. said, "and there's the others, Skip, Steve, Fenton, and Nedley."

"Wow", Luna said.

"I know", Lynn Sr. said, "it's hard to believe that I once had hair, isn't it?"

"No, not that", Luna said, "I was referring to your bass."

"Oh, yeah", Lynn Sr. said, "it broke my heart when I had to get rid of it."

"I'm sure it did", Luna said.

Later, Luna was walking on the sidewalk, still without a gift for her father.

"There's just got to be somewhere I can get a bass that looks just like that one", Luna said.

Then, she saw her friend, Beck Oliver, running his roadside business.

"I know", Luna said, "maybe Beck can help me."

She then walked over to him.

"Hey there, Luna", Beck said, "what'll it be?"

"I'd like to know if you've got a MusicMan Stingray bass guitar", Luna said, "or, if you don't somewhere I can find one."

"I think I have just what you're looking for", Beck said.

He then took out a MusicMan Stingray that looked just like the one in the picture.

"Is this it", Beck asked.

Luna took out the picture.

"It is", Luna said, "where did you get it?"

"My uncle bought it from some guy who needed the money for college", Beck said, "I found it in a box of stuff he was giving me to sell here at my business months ago."

Luna then realized something.

"Thanks, Beck", Luna said, "how much?"

"I'd say about twenty dollars", Beck said.

Luna then took out her wallet and paid him.

"Keep the change", Luna said.

At the Hardy/Loud residence, Lynn Sr. was opening his presents.

"This one's from me", Lynn said.

Lynn Sr. opened her present and found the Los Angeles Rams wallet she planned on giving him.

"Thanks, Junior", Lynn Sr. said, "I've been needing a new wallet since those street thugs stole my old one."

Then, Luna came in.

"You're late", Lori said.

"Sorry", Luna said, "just putting the finishing touches on my gift for Dad."

"Well, you're just in time", Lori said, "Dad's already opened everyone else's gifts but yours."

"Okay", Luna said.

Luna then handed Lynn Sr. his gift, and he opened it up, revealing his old bass.

"My MusicMan Stingray", Lynn Sr. said, "but how?"

"My buddy Beck had it at his roadside business", Luna said, "after hearing the story of Thimbles & Half Dollars, I knew this was the right gift."

Lynn Sr. then hugged her.

"Thanks, Luna", Lynn Sr. said, "I will cherish this gift forever."

"Now then", Lori said, "who's hungry."

"I am", Lynn Sr. said, "and I know the perfect place to go to."

They then left the house to go out to dinner with their father.
