Holly & Huggins is the eleventh episode of the first season of Holly & Blue.
Summary[]
When Holly learns that her principal, Wilbur Huggins, is coming over for dinner, she begins to worry.
Story[]
One afternoon, Holly was reading a comic book on the couch, when Olivia walked over to her.
"Hey, Holly", Olivia said, "are your chores done?"
"Yes", Holly said.
"Did you do your homework", Olivia asked.
"Yes again", Holly said, "I've got a free afternoon."
"Good", Olivia said, "because we're having someone over for dinner."
"Who", Olivia asked.
"Principal Huggins", Olivia said.
Holly was shocked.
"What", Holly asked.
"Yes", Olivia said, "I bumped into him at the grocery store last weekend, and he asked if he could come over for dinner one night."
"Wow, Mom", Holly said, "that's great."
"Great", Olivia said, "now go upstairs and wash up, he'll be here any minute."
Holly went to her room and shut the door.
"What's wrong", Blue asked.
"Principal Huggins is coming over for dinner", Holly said.
"Oh", Blue said, "that doesn't sound good."
"Yeah", Holly said, "what am I going to do?"
"Just try to keep it cool until Huggins goes home", Blue said, "I'm sure if you just stay calm and try to relax, it'll all go smoothly."
"Okay", Holly said.
"I'd love to tag along and help you out, but Principal Huggins sort of doesn't like me", Blue said, "I think I'll stay here."
"Okay", Holly said, "see you later, I hope."
Holly went downstairs and saw Olivia cooking dinner.
"Good, you're ready", Olivia said, "be a good daughter and set the table, please."
Holly set the table and they heard a knock at the door.
"That's him", Olivia said, "I'll get it."
Olivia answered the door, and Principal Huggins walked in wearing a Denver Broncos turtleneck, jeans, and hiking boots, and carrying a cake.
"Good evening Steven, Olivia", Principal Huggins said.
"Hey, Wilbur", Steve Sr. said, "how are things going?"
"Pretty good", Principal Huggins said.
He then saw Holly.
"Hello, Holly", Principal Huggins said, "how are things going?"
Holly was standing still.
"Holly", Steve Sr. said.
Steve Sr. snapped his fingers and she snapped out of it.
"Sorry", Holly said, "just not used to seeing Principal Huggins in a different outfit."
"Yeah, I only wear that suit on school days", Principal Huggins said, "this is the outfit I wear when there's no school."
"Nice", Holly said.
"Now then", Principal Huggins said, "what's for dinner?"
"Well, I made some lasagna with Cesar salad and breadsticks", Olivia said.
"Great", Principal Huggins said, "let's eat."
As they ate dinner, Principal Huggins decided to strike up a conversation.
"So, how are Steve and Joe doing", Principal Huggins asked.
"They're doing fine", Olivia said, "they've been doing well with The Sensations."
"That's good", Principal Huggins said, "I remember when they went to school at Darla Hood Elementary."
"Really", Holly asked.
"Yeah, it was back in my days as a teacher", Principal Huggins said, "all Ms. Carbuncle could ever talk about was how well they did in school."
"They must've been really good students", Holly said.
"They sure were", Steve Sr. said.
"Speaking of which, Steven, I see your hair is beginning to move to your face", Principal Huggins said.
The two shared a laugh, and Holly thought to herself.
"Huggins sure is different outside of school", Holly said.
Later, they ate the cake he made, which was a carrot cake.
"This is delicious", Holly said.
"Thanks", Principal Huggins said, "it's a Huggins family recipe."
Later, it was time for Principal Huggins to go.
"Well, I had fun", Principal Huggins said.
"So did we", Olivia said.
"See you at school on Monday, Holly", Principal Huggins said.
"You too", Holly said.
Principal Huggins left, and Holly went upstairs to her room, where Blue was.
"So, how'd it go", Blue asked.
"Principal Huggins sure is a nice guy", Holly said.
